Job Description
The VMware Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the virtual infrastructure. This role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of VMware environments, as well as supporting the organization’s virtual infrastructure needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain VMware-based virtual environments.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance, capacity, and availability of virtual infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, and manage VMware products such as vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, NSX, and Horizon.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VMware environments.
  • Implement and manage tools for backup, recovery, and business continuity.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate virtualization solutions with other IT systems.
  • Stay updated on the latest VMware technologies and industry best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with 7 years’ experience; Master’s Degree with 6 year’s experience; PhD with 2 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience working with VMware technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts and related technologies.
  • Experience in scripting and automation tools like PowerShell or Python is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
