Job Description Link Solutions Inc. is seeking a VMware Systems Administrator (Intermediate-Level) to join our team in Sierra Vista, Arizona. Must be a U.S. Citizen Active DoD Secret Clearance Swing-Shift (details below) Non-remote (relocation incentive available) As the VMware Systems Administrator, you will provide comprehensive technical support and system administration on the Fort Huachuca military installation. You will be part of a diverse team supporting a globally distributed information system, ensuring the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more secure operating systems. Your role will include additional responsibilities such as mission-critical support, infrastructure management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance system performance and security. Job Responsibilities: Install, configure, and integrate servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure. Build highly available server clusters in a vSphere environment. Perform backups, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for servers associated with a VMware virtual infrastructure. Design, plan, implement, and administer enterprise blade server and storage technologies. Provide Tier I and Tier II Level support. Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members. Assist with the coordination and implementation of hardware maintenance, upgrades, repairs, or replacements supporting the virtualization infrastructure Provide advice and training to end-users. Administer enterprise VMware-based virtualization infrastructures covering vCenter ESXi environments version 6.0 and later. Shift/Hours Information: Swing Shift Sunday - Wednesday 2:00 p.m. – 12:30 a.m. Qualifications US Citizen Active DoD Security Clearance IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, etc.). Two (2+) years of relevant experience or AA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts. Experience with Cisco FlexPod, VMware (or equivalent virtualization technologies), or Network Attached Storage systems. Current Computing Environment (CE) certification (required within 90 days of performance start date). Preferred: IAT Level III Certification equivalent per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH, etc.). Experience providing quality service and support for mission-critical systems and VIP end users. Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment. A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems. Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
