Description
Description Centex Technologies is seeking a VMware Virtualization Engineer to support the Navy AEGIS program in Moorestown, NJ. You will design, implement, and support secure vSphere environments in a mission-critical DoD setting. This position requires: US Citizenship Active DoD Secret clearance (required on day one) Responsibilities Install, configure, and administer VMware vSphere / ESXi clusters supporting Navy AEGIS systems. Monitor performance, capacity, and availability of virtual infrastructure and implement tuning as needed. Collaborate with storage and network teams to ensure highly available, integrated infrastructure services. Implement security hardening and support vulnerability remediation in accordance with DISA STIGs and Navy policy. Produce and maintain run books, configuration documentation, and change records. Provide Tier 3 support for incidents, problems, and change activities. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience administering VMware vSphere in enterprise environments. Active DoD Secret clearance (required on day one). Strong knowledge of virtual networking (VLANs, routing, firewalls as related to VMware). Experience with backup/restore of virtual machines and data protection. Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite in a secure facility. Preferred VCP certification or higher. Experience in Navy/DoD environments. Exposure to vSAN and automation (PowerCLI, Ansible).
