Description Enhanced Veterans Solutions, Inc. (EVS) is looking for a VMWare Windows Systems Administrator to support our customer in delivering enterprise IT services across 187 bases. This initiative helps ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for users across all mission environments and enables the U.S. Air Force to shift focus from network operations to mission operations. As a key member of the EVS Team, the VMWare Windows Systems Administrator will oversee and coordinate all Windows and VMWare operational activities. This role is central to ensuring timely responses and effective remediation for any reported or detected issues. The administrator will manage these systems across the Department, handling everything from monitoring and troubleshooting to coordination, tracking, and resolution of incidents. Responsibilities: Deploy Windows and VMWare applications and application updates based on defined criteria Remediate issues related to failed patches, application conflicts, or patch-related problems Provide Tier 3 support and advanced troubleshooting of common applications and their interaction with operating systems Configure, manage, and resolve issues related to Active Directory and Group Policy Analyze daily operations and write scripts to streamline routine tasks Monitor, troubleshoot, patch, and upgrade systems on a daily basis Deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) support for servers, workstations, and mobile devices Troubleshoot incidents and user-reported issues Work with engineering teams to deploy technical solutions as needed Monitor and track service level agreements (SLA/SLRs) and generate required reports Contribute to documentation and efforts to modernize infrastructure Collaborate with DAF enterprise and program security teams to meet requirements Communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders, and teammates Requirements Experience testing, deploying, and troubleshooting Microsoft and third-party software updates Demonstrated experience with automated software/firmware patching tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, YUM, SolarWinds) for both Windows and Linux environments Experience managing Windows Servers and Workstations (mobile device experience a plus) Experience with ESX and VMWare, including system management and patching Prior work in a DoD environment Familiarity with STIG compliance requirements Understanding of ITILv4 principles Exposure to Agile Scrum methodologies Strong skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Visio) and SharePoint Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field 3+ years of relevant experience Active DoD Secret clearance Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving You must possess one or more of the following certifications: VMWare certification - VMware Certified Professional (VCP), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) or VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX) Network+ ITIL Foundations CCENT Security+
