Description

Context Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub-Office (HoSO) in Cotabato and direct supervision of the Head of Satellite Office in Zamboanga, and with technical oversight from the National Migration Health Coordinator in Cotabato, the successful candidate is responsible and accountable for supporting the coordination, development, and implementation of IOM’s health programming in Mindanao, particularly in Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi provinces. The successful candidate is expected to work closely with Department of Health, Ministry of Health (MOH) – BARMM, and its local constituents to strengthen local health systems, service delivery, and communities’ access quality care particularly for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MHCH). The successful candidate will promote effective, inclusive strategies that are contextualized to local needs, integrate migrant sensitivities and mobility lens, and are in line with IOM standards, policies, and commitments.
Responsibilities
The officer is responsible for supporting the coordination, development, and implementation of IOM’s health programming in Mindanao, focusing particularly on Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi provinces. This involves working closely with the Department of Health and MOH – BARMM to strengthen local health systems and improve access to quality Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) care.
