Description
The Visiting Nurse Association is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Registered Nurse to join our seasonal immunization team. In this community-facing role, you will help protect the health and well-being of children, adults, workplaces, schools, and community members by providing safe, high-quality immunizations to individuals ages 6 months and older. This is a rewarding part-time seasonal opportunity for an RN who enjoys working independently, connecting with the public, and making a meaningful impact across the community. Candidates must be available at least two days per week, Monday through Friday. Weekend hours are very limited. What You’ll Do • Work independently with minimal supervision while representing VNA in a professional and welcoming manner. • Provide immunizations to individuals ages 6 months and older at workplace, community, and school-based clinic sites. • Administer a variety of immunizations, which may include influenza, Tdap, COVID-19, hepatitis, and other approved vaccines. • Accurately collect insurance information, payment details, and required documentation at clinic sites. • Screen clients for age eligibility, vaccine appropriateness, and potential contraindications before administration. What We’re Looking For • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. • Active Registered Nurse license in Nebraska or another compact state. • Current Basic Life Support certification. • Experience administering immunizations to individuals ages 6 months and older is preferred but not required. • Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance coverage. • Reliable personal transportation to travel to assigned clinic locations.
