ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year of experience delivering childcare courses in a classroom environment.
  • Extensive and recent industry experience, with current engagement in the childcare industry.
  • Deep understanding of the CHC training package and the specific competency requirements for CHC30121 and CHC50121.
  • Proven ability to offer individualised support to students, including advice on available support services and strategies to enhance learner success.
  • Proficiency with student information and learning management systems (preferably Wisenet/Moodle).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to meet key performance indicators (KPIs), including student progress targets.
  • High-level organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, collaborating with faculty and administrative staff.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (SRTOs 2015) and the VET Quality Framework.
  • Experience in course and resource development, validation, and moderation activities.
  • Familiarity with the ESOS Framework (preferred but not essential).
  • Established industry connections for work-based placements.
  • Ability to mentor and support other trainers and educators.
  • Knowledge of compliance and standards within the VET or community services sector.
  • CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or equivalent).
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent).

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Vocational Education Teacher to deliver high-quality training and assessment for the Early Childhood Education and Care sector. You will be responsible for conducting theory sessions, workplace visits, and assessments within company guidelines and timelines. This role offers the opportunity to mentor students through on-the-job assessments and ensure a high standard of learning experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver training and assessment for CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care at various Early Learning Centres in Perth.
  • Conduct workplace assessments and mark theoretical units for both qualifications.
  • Manage the student learning experience, providing guidance and support for successful course completion.
  • Ensure adherence to training delivery schedules and company expectations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, providing tailored support to students.
