This role will be suitable for anyone with a multi trades background and who has experience of teaching a multi skills course.
We have a great opportunity available to join Novus Cambria, our prison education provider at HMP Berwyn, working as an Multi Skills Trainer. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a minimum L3 qualification in relevant, subject specific area
  • Hold a minimum L3 teaching qualification, e.g. AET, PTTLS or equivalent
  • Hold at least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Hold, or commit to gain within 1 year, appropriate Assessor qualification (TAQA 3, A1 or equivalent)
  • Candidates must hold a level 2 or 3 qualification in one of the following, plastering, joinery or bricklaying.
  • Achievement of quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
  • Produce accurate and timely reports
  • Positive contribution to establishment planning & development processes
  • Positive team working
  • Achieve ‘Good’ or above in Teaching Observations
