Platt College Los Angeles consists of four Southern California campuses located in Alhambra, Ontario, Riverside and Anaheim. Platt offers certificate and degree programs in several subject areas including school of graphic design, business and legal studies, medical sciences, and information technology. CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

• An Associate’s degree or higher in a related area of study (ACCSC)
• 5 years of healthcare related professional experience to include a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a RN or VN within the last 5 years.
• Shall have completed or be currently attending a course offered by an approved program to certify competency in teaching adult learners.
• Current CA license as RN or VN - must be in good standing
• At least one or more of the following (BVNPT requirement):
• Baccalaureate degree from accredited school or
• Valid Teaching Credential, or
• Completion of 1 year full-time teaching experience in state accredited or approved RN, VN within last 5 years, or
• Meets CA community college or state university teaching requirements
• Associates degree plus 6 years of experience or,
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of experience
• Completion of 24-hour Principle of Teaching the Adult Learner Course OR Teaching/Learning college course credits

Employment Status: Adjunct, hourly, non-exempt.

• Adjunct faculty hours are determined by the scheduled courses in a particular module. Adjunct faculty are scheduled as needed with no guarantee of hours at any time and scheduled hours are generally under 25 per week.
