VOCATIONAL PROGRAM DESIGNER

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage the development of new training and assessment materials and training manuals
  • Work within the relevant RTO Standards, Rules, Guidelines and compliance frameworks to ensure quality and compliant training programs
  • Identify training needs for V/Line job roles and develop Training and Assessment Strategies appropriate for the identified learner cohorts / staff.
  • Manage/Lead the validation process for VET and non-accredited competency-based training programs.
  • Develop assessment tools that accurately assess a learner’s competency to relevant training package and industry standards, incorporating the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
  • Apply knowledge of design principles and learning frameworks to modernise training plans
  • Update existing materials to reflect modern templates, learning practices and design
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge and skill
  • Digitisation of content into relevant learning and assessment systems
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts to produce training materials that meet their needs

As the Vocational Program Designer, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Corporate Affairs Group.
Corporate Affairs is the organisation’s central point for government and stakeholder relations, policy development and coordination, media and issues management, internal and external communications, learning and development, capability, and culture and engagement.
As the operational group of the Office of the CEO, Corporate Affairs provides trusted advice to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, strengthening V/Line’s brand and reputation
Developing and delivering learning and development programs to ensure our people are equipped with the necessary training to enhance their skills and professional growth. This includes operating V/Line’s Registered Training Organisation which delivers nationally recognised programs to staff.
You will design and develop high-quality training, assessment materials for job-ready outcomes for V/Line employees
