SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a minimum L3 qualification in the relevant subject specific area
  • Hold a minimum of PGCE/Cert Ed
  • Hold at least a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Hold an appropriate assessor qualification for delivering an IAG course
  • Hold or commit to gain an Internal Verifier award within 1 year (dependent upon course accreditation requirements)
  • Have experience of working within a prison, further education or a training setting
  • Have experience and understanding of the relevant vocational area
  • Having experience in Youth & Community work would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Have an ability to fulfil delivery targets and plans and achieve quality targets, including those related to recruitment, retention and achievement
  • Commit to producing accurate and timely reports and making a positive contribution to establishment planning & development processes
  • Demonstrate respectful, positive and effective team working at all times
