Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday This role supports the Bad Debt accounting process, with key responsibilities across both month-end and in-month activities. You will be responsible for preparing and posting journals, compiling Balance Sheet Reconciliations, and calculating Expected Credit Loss (ECL) rates on a monthly basis. The role also involves ensuring compliance with SoX controls by gathering and maintaining appropriate supporting evidence, in addition to SoX controls you will also need to assist with audit queries as they arise. You will collaborate closely with offshore teams, providing timely approvals when required, and manage one-time invoice processing to ensure accurate and prompt payments. Wider responsibilities will also include: Month end reporting, including commentary, as well as Balance Sheet reconciliations, journal preparation and posting. Work with internal customers (Commercial Finance) as a point of contact and subject matter expert for accounting requirements. Utilise understanding of forecasts and budgets to evaluate and challenge business cases and proposals where needed. Work with the Compliance Team to agree SOX controls for impacted systems and processes. Partly or fully qualified in relevant field of Finance/Accounting (e.g., CIMA, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, or equivalent). Core financial accounting and analytical skills, specifically in areas of revenue and margin. Demonstrable experience working to daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines will be essential. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with a clear track record of translating ideas and information to all levels of seniority. Builds relationships within and across departments with a collaborative and consultative mindset. Understanding of IFRS. Adept in the utilisation of the MS Office suite, particularly Excel. Knowledge of SAP and Business Objects an advantage.
