You’ll lead a talented group of engineers, ensuring seamless support for our voice and data platforms, while also shaping the future of our services through project delivery and innovation.

By driving transformation, you will be the go-to escalation point for complex issues and play a key role in aligning technical operations with JT’s strategic goals. You will also influence how JT delivers cutting-edge voice and data services to our customers across multiple sectors.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Desired knowledge of LAN and WAN technologies with the capability to adapt as technology evolves.
  • Pass specialist exams to enable JT to attain company accreditation with manufacturers, which in turn leads to the company receiving enhanced service, support, and product discounts.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and requisite training for delivering and supporting the products and services within the remit of the role.
  • ITIL foundation V3
  • CCNA certified desired.
  • Strong knowledge of JT products and services
  • Previous management/supervisory experience within an engineering environment desirable
  • This role may require vetting up to NLEP Level 1/2/3 and DBS Basic/Enhanced
  • This role Must hold a valid UK/Channel Island driving license

Responsibilities
  • Act as technical SME and Voice and Data representative for all business interactions.
  • Resolve complex queries and support the development of team members’ technical expertise
  • Point of escalation for Voice and Data Teams.
  • SLA delivery in line with company targets and objectives.
  • Engagement with Commercial / sales teams to coordinate resourcing challenges.
  • Day to day lead responsibilities of the Voice and Data Teams to include annual leave planning to avoid business disruption
  • Work closely with your Voice and Data Technical Lead counterpart, to ensure cross skilling is completed across the two teams and that resources are used as efficiently as possible
  • Translate complex technical challenges into easily digestible information for a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Report into the Enterprise Manager on Voice support BAU and project deliveries, ensuring all objectives are in line with Manager setting.
  • Act as initial point of escalation and contact for Voice resources, prior to escalation to Enterprise Manager.
