Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are seeking an exceptional VOIP Platforms Engineering Manager who will join a global IT team, based in the UK supporting both the UK and US businesses. The individual needs to have experience in working in technically demanding managed / hosted services environment and SaaS Cloud based platforms and demonstrable experience of managing Telecoms platforms using Ribbon SBCs, Kamailio/RTPEngine and managing Carrier relationships and SIP Trucking design, operations and management.
The role will report to the Global IT Director and will be responsible for ensuring the availability and security of the telephony and voice services provided. This will include the day to day operations of Eckohs global voice platforms, the deployment and decommissioning of services for client go lives and decommissions and mentoring and leading voice engineering teams on best practice, process driven consistency. The role will have direct ownership to work with the group SOC function in managing the day-to-day security of Eckohs’ defence in depth strategy, and to comply with PCIDSS, ISO27001, and SOC2 programs.

KEY FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsible for availability and security of the Physical and Cloud SIP environments.
· Solid and demonstrable experience in deploying and operational support of high-performance, automated voice networks.
· Manage SIP interconnections with global carrier
· Monitor and troubleshoot voice reachability and quality
· Develop tools for task automation and efficiency gains
· Day to day operations management of Telephony and voice platforms
· Developing code/config in Github and knowledge of IaC deployments in AWS.
· Supplier Management for telco related procurement, ability to manage and negotiate with external suppliers, delivering on budget management and cost control
· Delivering on and maintaining PCI/ISO and Cyber Essential Audit programs
· Monthly Reporting of SLAs, KPIs, Risk.
· A member of IT Management Team function supporting and delivering on Group strategic goals
