The Volume Capture team is dedicated to the acquisition of volcap footage & making it accessible, useful, and beautiful for our creative partners and internal departments. This is a multi-disciplined team who have a deep understanding of both traditional and volumetric workflows. \n Responsibilities Integrate acquired data into Houdini TOPs networks Build SOP networks to manipulate, analyze, & render the data Design and author complex Houdini TOPs networks to support scalable workflows Develop custom processors and tools using Houdini’s native Python modules Partner with software development leads and pipeline teams to align on cross-department initiatives and scheduling Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an FX artist using Houdini in production 5+ years writing Houdini pipeline code in Python Strong understanding of Houdini, Solaris/USD, and Hydra render delegates Experience with PDG/TOPs and building groom pipelines in Houdini Familiarity with volumetric capture and virtual production Working knowledge of Python scripting in Nuke Experience in a Pipeline or Production department Passion for exploring new Houdini features and improving workflows Demonstrated ability to design artist-friendly tools without sacrificing functionality Proficient in writing clear technical documentation for cross-functional teams Understanding of object-oriented design in complex pipeline environments Experience with REZ and Gaussian splats is also valuable \n $120,000 - $150,000 a year This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience.
