Title: Volunteer After School
Volunteer Commitment: 2 hours per week; 3:00 - 5:00pm
Location: Community Y

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for assisting in the delivery of hands-on program activities for school age youth (ages 5-17). Program delivery will provide participants with a safe, inclusive, and positive environment. Program facilitation is in keeping with established outcomes/objectives, in addition to YMCA quality and child safeguarding standards, and provincial regulations. This includes, program set-up/take down, preparation of materials and procurement of supplies/equipment.
  • Leading by example and forming positive relationships with youth within the program through supervision and mentorship.
  • Ensure the safety of youth in the program by following proper child safeguarding procedures.
    Please note that the successful candidate is required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check, clear Child Abuse Registry Check, and valid First Aid and CPR training.
