Overview We are a free and confidential service for adults (18+) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances. We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals, families, carers, and professionals to offer support that’s right for you. Whether you need one-to-one help, group sessions, or access to medication and treatment, we're here for you. Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. Their dedication strengthens the quality, reach, and accessibility of our support, allowing us to help even more people. Responsibilities At River you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life, grow as an individual, and live life to its full potential. As an Alcohol support volunteer you will be working as part of the Alcohol team, assisting them in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey. This can include completing assessments, supporting people to attend community and inpatient detox’s, assisting group work and undertaking one to one work. You will be an integral team member and will play an active role in helping our service users achieve their goals. Please see RD for full details about this role. Interviews: Will take place towards the last two weeks of February 2026 Training: Will start on the third week of March (1 day per week for – 6 weeks).
