Many people in our community feel lonely or isolated due to age, illness, or life changes. We are looking for volunteers to join our Prevention Matters team and help change that.
As a volunteer befriender, you’ll offer a friendly face, a listening ear, and practical support. Whether it’s a chat over coffee, help getting to appointments, or showing someone how to use email or the internet or encourage and accompany clients to join local groups or activities, your time can make a huge difference. Your kindness could help someone feel connected again.
We cover travel and out-of-pocket expenses.
All volunteers are subject to a DBS check and must provide references. Hours are flexible.
