Description Providence Hospice is a division of Providence Life Services, which provides a continuum of healthcare, focused on senior living. Providence Hospice is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator, Full Time in Homer Glen, IL. Hours for this position are Monday-Friday, 8AM-4:30PM. Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and be able to travel to Illinois and Indiana. Mileage reimbursement is included for this position at $ .725/mile. Regularly communicate with and/or meet with volunteers. Schedule volunteer hours, and work assignments in coordination with program supervisors Maintain patient care volunteer and administrative/clerical volunteer statistics. Provides monthly, quarterly and annual reports. Supports the mission of the organization; enhance the lives of those we serve in the name of Jesus Christ. Reports accidents and/or incidents to the administrator. Responds and reviews grievances and complaints. Participates in planning the department’s budget. Schedules and organizes volunteer activities and events including appreciation lunches, parties, etc. Recruits, selects and trains new volunteers. Oversees the onboarding of new volunteers. Oversees annual compliance for the volunteer program. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positivity as well as a calm environment. Attend and participate in IDT meetings and other meetings as assigned. Maintain patient confidentiality. Ensure volunteers follow policies and procedures. Travel to Illinois and/or Indiana office and to patient’s homes. Requirements The ideal candidate will have experience working for a hospice organization. Must have a valid driver’s license, have reliable transportation and be able to travel to Illinois and Indiana. Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent, some college preferred. Must pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprinting for criminal background check and complete a reference check. EOE #LOW1
