Description:

UPMC Kane is excited to welcome your consideration to join us at a part-time Volunteer Coordinator! Our role will typically serve four hours a day, Monday - Friday.

  • Oversee the planning and implementation of the teen volunteer program to ensure its success and sustainability.
  • Maintain efficient coverage of the Volunteer Department by ensuring that phones are promptly answered and visitors are greeted by knowledgeable personnel.
  • Assist management in serving as a liaison between departments and volunteers, fostering positive relationships and effective communication.
  • Arrange orientation and training sessions for new volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles.
  • Manage the annual evaluation process for volunteer performance, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement.
  • Screen and interview potential volunteers to ensure alignment of their skills and interests with program needs during the intake process.
  • Develop and administer recruitment and retention programs in collaboration with management to attract and retain dedicated volunteers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential volunteer records, performing necessary administrative tasks such as monthly reports and newsletters.
