JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and innovative eLearning Developer based in the UK to design, develop, and manage a cutting-edge online learning platform. The ideal candidate will have expertise in WordPress development and website learning management system (LMS) development, including configuring and customising plugins such as MemberPress and LearnDash.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrable experience with WordPress development, including plugin configuration, customisation, and troubleshooting.
• Proven expertise in developing and managing website learning management systems (LMS), with knowledge of platforms like LearnDash or similar.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP for WordPress customisation and LMS integration.
• Familiarity with eLearning standards such as SCORM, xAPI, and LTI.
• Experience creating interactive learning content using tools like H5P, Adobe Captivate, or Articulate Storyline.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, ensuring platforms are user-friendly, mobile-responsive, and accessible.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience with gamification techniques to drive learner engagement.
• Familiarity with analytics tools to track learner performance and engagement metrics.
• Knowledge of UK accessibility standards (e.g., Equality Act 2010 compliance, WCAG).
• SEO expertise to improve visibility and traffic for eLearning content.
• Desirable Qualifications and Certifications:
• Professional certification in instructional design or eLearning development (e.g., from the Association for Learning Technology or similar organisations).
• Training in WordPress development or LMS-specific platforms.

• Develop and maintain an engaging eLearning platform, utilising WordPress and LMS plugins such as MemberPress, LearnDash, LifterLMS, or similar tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and creators to transform educational materials into dynamic, interactive digital learning experiences.
• Ensure the platform is optimised for both desktop and mobile users, adhering to responsive design and accessibility standards.
• Integrate additional tools (e.g., H5P, Articulate, or SCORM-compliant platforms) to enhance interactivity and learner engagement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS, WordPress plugins, and website performance, ensuring smooth functionality.
• Monitor and analyse user engagement data, providing actionable insights to improve learner outcomes and platform performance.
• Keep up to date with the latest developments in eLearning technologies, WordPress trends, and digital education tools to implement innovative solutions.
