Volunteer & Fundraising Coordinator at Rainbow Acres The Volunteer & Fundraising Coordinator supports Rainbow Acres’ mission by coordinating volunteer programs, cultivating church donor relationships, and providing administrative support to the Advancement and Admissions teams. This role is ideal for a nonprofit professional who excels in coordination, relationship‑building, and volunteer management within a faith‑based environment. A strong commitment to Christian values is highly valued in this role. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and manage Volunteer Mission Groups and Individual Volunteers, including scheduling, orientations, housing logistics, meals, and on‑campus mission projects. Administer the volunteer lifecycle, including applications, interviews, background checks, fingerprint clearance, and accurate data entry using Bloomerang or similar CRM/database systems. Deliver an exceptional volunteer experience through proactive communication, campus tours, follow‑up, and continuous improvement of volunteer processes. Promote Rainbow Acres at community events and volunteer fairs; recruit volunteers and collaborate with Admissions to support prospective resident referrals. Maintain and cultivate church donor and partner relationships, including managing contact records, handling inquiries, and coordinating annual communications. Provide administrative and event support for fundraising and admissions initiatives, including donor materials, special events, tours, scheduling, and general office support. Additional Information: This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring a high level of responsibility and awareness. Key Skills & Experience: Strong communication & organizational skills Good working knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact with and engage with diverse populations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and fundraising related software applications including databases Qualifications: High School Diploma (prefer Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field) and a minimum of one year of volunteer, fundraising or admissions experience; or equivalent combination Ability to meet all clearance requirements, including: Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Background check Pre-employment physical Drug screening Reference check Verification of absence from the Arizona Adult Protective Services Registry Evidence of strong ethical standards and moral character is essential along with a sensitivity to the needs of the residents and their families.
