Job Title: Harvest Warehouse Assistant (1 September- 1 December)

Reports to: Community Operations manager
Hours of work: 1-2 days per week between 9am-3pm

Overall role purpose:

  • Support in the control and management of all harvest donations and keeping the warehouse areas clean, organised and a safe working environment

Main duties:

  • Communicate with members of the public and complete harvest donation forms as required
  • Unloading donations from the delivery van or harvest loading bay
  • Check dates of donations and dispose of any out of date products
  • Sort deliveries into correct sorting bays
  • Colour coding tins to represent best before dates
  • Re-organising the product by colour into trays
  • Stacking the trays safely in the designated area in the warehouse
  • Clean up the warehouse at the end of the day removing any rubbish and debris
  • Complete any induction training identified as necessary for the fulfilment of the post.
