About CorpsAfrica CorpsAfrica was founded in 2011 by former Peace Corps Volunteer Liz Fanning with the idea of turning community development in Africa over to local changemakers. During her own service, Liz was approached by young Moroccans who wanted to be Peace Corps Volunteers so they could help people in their own country, but she had to tell them it was only for Americans. www.corpsafrica.org Since launching its first program in Morocco in 2013, it has expanded to 10 countries across the continent and aims to expand to all 54 of Africa’s countries in the next ten years. To date, CorpsAfrica has hosted hundreds of volunteers across Morocco, Senegal, Malawi, and Rwanda, who have completed over 800 projects, including building wells, schools, roads, and irrigation systems; establishing literacy programs; and supporting vegetable and livestock farms. Overview of the Position: The Volunteer Liaison (VL) for CorpsAfrica/Maroc is responsible for managing a select group of Volunteers and supporting them throughout their CorpsAfrica service cycle. This support includes both emotional guidance and technical assistance in facilitating community-led projects and initiatives. The Volunteer Liaison should be based close to the Volunteers’ deployment areas to ensure timely support and regular visits to host communities. Volunteer Liaison Serve as the primary bridge between the CorpsAfrica/Maroc Office and the Volunteer and including the community of which they serve. The Volunteer Liaison role combines high-level administrative and technical oversight with hands-on, field-based mentorship. VL fosters a culture of innovation through Human-Centered Design (HCD) while ensuring that all logistical, compliance, and reporting requirements are executed with accuracy and professionalism. Classification: Programing Salary and Benefits: Negotiable Location: Morocco Reports to: Country Director Specific Responsibilities: Volunteer Support & Mentorship Serve as a coach and mentor for Volunteers in project management and community-led development. Support Volunteer wellbeing, safety and security during their service. Serve as a "coach" for Volunteers in Human-Centered Design to foster a "design thinking" culture at their sites. Conduct routine travel to all Volunteer sites to visit projects, provide field-based support, and engage with community stakeholders. Work alongside Training Officers to facilitate sessions during training sessions (PST, IST1&2, COS), and community-based training. Administration & Information Management Act as the primary point of contact for Volunteers regarding administrative matters. Create and provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on Volunteer activity using country-level and global standards tools and templates. Work alongside M&E to maintain primary responsibility for entering, updating, and ensuring the accuracy of the Volunteer database. Maintain comprehensive records, archives, and official reports (site visits, activities and project reports). Work closely with the Global Support Office staff to align on organizational goals. Coordinate Volunteer Close of Service checklist, ensure that Checklist forms are signed by Volunteer, M&E, and Country/Deputy Country Director Develop and maintain a database of approved and potential Volunteer sites in line with the organization’s site selection and Housing criteria. Lead the documentation and review process for community projects in coordination with the Country Office and Project Review Committee. Work alongside M&E team to track Volunteer activities and projects, including post-service follow-up for learning and sustainability. Build and maintain community partnerships, including key stakeholders, institutions, and local CBOs, and keep accurate records. Financial & Logistical Management Coordinate special activities such as Site Development, Volunteer Deployment, payments of Living allowances, and Settling-in allowances and Readjustment allowances. Support financial processes related to Volunteer activities and Volunteer Liaison activities in coordination with the Finance team. Assist with public relations, media opportunities, and other marketing events. Desired qualifications and requirements: Bachelor’s degree (BAC + 3) in Administration, Finance, Community Development, or a related field. Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant professional experience in administrative and financial management, volunteer program support, or community development. At least one year of field experience, preferably in participatory community development. Demonstrated experience working in multicultural environments. Strong commitment to youth leadership, participatory community development, impact evaluation, transparency, accountability, and Human-Centered Design. Demonstrable understanding of country laws and government administrative systems. Highly detail-oriented, organized, and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet tight deadlines and exercise a high level of resilience. Proven ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a timely manner and perform effectively under pressure. Excellent judgment, discretion, and integrity, particularly in handling sensitive information. Professional demeanor and personal style that inspires trust and confidence. Strong cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to foster a productive team spirit. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace. Experience managing databases and administrative systems. Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Fluency in the French and Tamazight is recommended. Driving Experience.
