Responsibilities A key part of the role will be to support our Needle and Syringe Provision you will ensure our needle exchanges are confidential, welcoming, non-judgmental and friendly environments. Your role will be to support the team in reducing the harm caused by drug use, by offering individuals the knowledge, advice and equipment to enable them to keep themselves safeYou will provide and document needle exchange transactions, whilst engaging with injecting drug users advising them of the benefits of Naloxone, HIV and Hepatitis testing and safer sexual health advice. You will also encourage and promote treatment options within the service as well as signposting and referral to other support services available Our needle exchanges can be fast paced environments with only a small amount of time to engage those who use our services, so the ability to work quickly and effectively is needed. No two days are the same and you can really make a difference in helping to keep people safe. You will be provided with all the skills, knowledge and support to undertake the role.
