Overview Volunteering with Change Grow Live is a great way to make a real difference in people’s lives whilst gaining valuable experience. Whether you want to give back to your community, develop new skills, or meet like-minded people, there are plenty of reasons to get involved. Responsibilities You will be the first point of contact within the service greeting all our visitors promptly in a friendly and courteous manner. You will be supporting reception dealing with initial queries, coordinating appointments, signposting to support available within the service and the community. A key part of the role will be to support our Needle and Syringe Provision you will ensure our needle exchanges are confidential, welcoming, non-judgmental and friendly environments. We believe that those who access our services should be at the heart of everything that we do and those who have lived experience have a unique and valuable insight into how our services can work best. An important part of the role is listening to people and sharing what you have heard with the service, representing their views, and using their feedback to help inform how we develop and improve our services. You will help to ensure people hear about any decisions or changes that are made because of their feedback. You will be working with Change Grow Live staff and connecting with the wider community. We also expect an assertive approach to ensuring the safety and well-being of all children, young people and adults, and applicants to these posts will need to demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to best safeguarding practice. We are actively recruiting people who can offer us 1 – 3 days per week to work within our drug & alcohol service; we are specifically looking for people who are keen and enthusiastic and would be able to commit to staying as a volunteer with us for up to one year.
