YOU ARE: * Convinced a relationship with Jesus changes everything in a person’s life * Committed to keeping your family as your first ministry * Dedicated in your personal study of God’s Word * Consistently placing a high priority on worship and your personal prayer life * An excellent and generous steward of your personal finances * Obedient to God to take a Sabbath and make space for soul-keeping * Deeply compassionate toward people who are in need or hurting * Excited about global missions and local outreach * A mature Christian with spiritual discernment * A part of a healthy friendship community and accountability circle * Willing to live above reproach and in alignment with the Leadership Covenant * Warm, organized, flexible, and energized by serving people YOU WILL: VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT & HOSPITALITY * Help plan and support volunteer huddles, orientations, trainings, appreciation moments, and major volunteer events * Coordinate event details such as food, supplies, RSVPs, room setup, check-in, materials, and follow-up * Maintain welcoming volunteer spaces, supplies, and ministry materials * Assist with volunteer appreciation, hospitality, and culture-building moments CENTRAL COMMUNICATION & ONBOARDING SUPPORT * Manage the main Volunteer Ministry email inbox and respond to general volunteer questions * Help volunteers navigate next steps when they are unsure how to get connected * Send onboarding-related communication, reminders, and approved templates * Route ministry-specific questions to the appropriate ministry leader VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS & BACKGROUND CHECKS * Manage day-to-day volunteer requirement administration by scheduling fingerprint appointments, processing background checks, entering updates in Ministry Platform, and supporting volunteers through next steps with clarity and care * Process background check results, including Federal, FBI, FDLE, local, and sexual predator searches as required * Organize, download, file, and maintain digital records in a secure, consistent, and retrievable system * Communicate volunteer status updates to supervisors and ministry leaders through the approved process * Notify leaders and volunteers when reprints, renewals, or additional steps are needed * Handle confidential information with wisdom, discretion, and care ORIENTATION & EVENT SUPPORT * Support orientation logistics, preparation, attendance tracking, and follow-up * Assist with huddle, training, and event preparation as directed * Help keep event details, volunteer requirements, and communication moving smoothly MINISTRY SUPPORT * Proactively support ministries and campuses by helping keep communication, requirements, and event details organized * Assist the Volunteer Ministry Manager with process consistency and volunteer care * Assist Volunteer Ministry leadership with other departmental duties and activities as needed YOU HAVE: * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail * Strong people skills and a warm, helpful presence * Good written and verbal communication skills * The ability to handle confidential information wisely and discreetly * The ability to manage multiple details, deadlines, and event needs * Administrative ability and a willingness to follow established systems * A servant-hearted approach to supporting volunteers and ministry leaders * Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive * Comfort learning and using Ministry Platform * The ability to remain calm and flexible during busy ministry moments * A heart for hospitality, encouragement, and volunteer care * A teachable spirit and willingness to support different ministry needs WHAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO KNOW: * We are an EEO employer * This is a full-time hourly non-exempt position * You may have to bend, sit, stand for prolonged periods of time, lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 35 lbs. * You may have to work evenings and/or weekends to assist with huddles, orientations, special events, or emergencies * This job description does not imply that the duties listed are the only duties required.
