Responsibilities As a NMP Support Volunteer, you are an equal and valued member of the clinical/Healthcare team, supporting them in the day-to-day delivery of clinical interventions. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is currently working within a clinical/prescribing setting and wants to broaden their skills knowledge and understanding whilst gaining experience in the substance use field.Our service users’ health and wellbeing is important to us so you will be playing a pivotal role in supporting the promotion of healthier lifestyles and harm reduction interventions including providing naloxone within our services and community hubs. You will be working with clients to prepare them for a medical review this will include taking blood pressure, screening for substances, and discussing expectations. You will also be supporting our prescribing clinics gaining an understanding of our medical interventions and prescribing regimes.You will be working closely with staff and partner agencies supporting individuals to access treatment and clinical interventions. This is a rewarding role which allows you to gain practical skills and experience while making a real difference to our service users lives.
