The ExtraCare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a Volunteer Organiser on a part-time permanent contract, based at our Wixams Retirement Village in Bedford.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Volunteer Organiser to join our friendly team at our Wixams Retirement Village and support the village’s commitment in delivering ExtraCare’s mission of “better lives for older people”.

AS OUR VOLUNTEER ORGANISER YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Lead on the recruitment, retention, and recognition of volunteers both within and outside of the Village in line with the Volunteering strategy and policy.
• Raise the profile of volunteering within the Village to staff, residents, and visitors.
• Work with the Activities Coordinator at the Village to ensure appropriate numbers of Volunteers are available to assist with events and activities.
• To develop partnerships with external organisations such as universities, colleges, and local volunteer centres to build the Villages volunteer base.
• To encourage residents to contribute to the running of their location through volunteering.
• To co-ordinate the induction of all new volunteers
• To host an annual volunteer recognition event
