Summary The Volunteer Program Specialist is responsible for assignment, coordination and supervision of all volunteer activities of the Hospice Program. Responsible for recruitment, screening, training, evaluation and ongoing education of Hospice volunteers. Works with clients of all ages. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care when interacting with patients, their families and with co-workers. Schedule Full-Time | 64 hours every two weeks Monday - Friday, Day shift 8:00AM to 4:30PM Occasional evenings and weekend shifts for special events Pay and Benefits Starting pay begins at $18.38 per hour and increases with experience Pay range: $18.38 - $27.61 per hour Full-time benefits: Medical, dental, PTO, retirement, employee discounts and more! Qualifications High school diploma or GED Post-secondary degree in nursing or another related field required or post-secondary degree in human services or another related field required or post-secondary degree in medical social services or another related field. Documented experience with volunteers and demonstrated skills in interpersonal communications, public relations, and human relations required. A driving record in good standing and the minimum amount of insurance liability coverage required. Transportation available for off campus activities required.
