Description Northeastern University Co-Op SCHEDULE: 40 HOURS, Tuesday-Saturday: 10am-6:30pm Pays $18.78 - $19.55 per hour DOE (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set) LOCATION: 444 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA SUMMARY OF THE POSITION: The NU co-op Volunteer Programs & Advancement Assistant will be tasked with a variety of administrative and programmatic duties that facilitate the coordination of volunteer service, donor engagement opportunities and special events. The co-op will learn about the issue of homelessness by becoming a team member of the Advancement team at Boston’s leading and largest non-profit resource for the homeless. This is a unique position that allows the co-op to work alongside many other departments within the agency, such as the Workforce Development, Food Services, Emergency Shelter, Housing, and Street Outreach teams. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Strong computer/Microsoft Office skills/knowledge Strong oral and written communication skills PHYSICAL SKILLS/ABILITIES: REQUIRED: This position involves occasional heavy lifting Ability to climb stairs and move around in a timely manner MENTAL ABILITIES/SKILLS: REQUIRED: Excellent customer service skills Excellent organizational skills Ability to multi-task Ability to take initiative and work independently on various projects
