This is a volunteer position with no pay. ARK (Accessibility Renovations For Kids) is looking for a Volunteer Recruiter to join our Volunteer Committee.

We are seeking a Volunteer Recruiter to recruit and engage new volunteers in key positions. This person will work to fill volunteer positions helping us to further our mission of meaningfully assisting children with disabilities.
Accessibility Renovations for Kids (ARK) is a Calgary charity, whose goal is to ease the daily lives of children with mobility challenges by renovating or modifying their family home to make it more accessible.
Time Commitment: Approximately 2-4 hours per week

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare Job Postings with help from committee leads for positions that need filling
• Post positions on Indeed, Volunteer Connector and other sites
• Contact associations that have the skills we need and share opportunities we want to fill
• Screen applicants and forward suitable candidates to Committee leads for review
• Follow up with new volunteers to help ensure they are trained and engaged
• Other duties as required.

Requirements:

• Recruitment experience and training preferred
• Human Resources training an asset
• Resident of Calgary or surrounding areas.

Qualities & Skills:

• English as a primary language
• Effective time management skills and the ability to multitask.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong Communication and Organizational Skills
