Working within a commercial café facility, Café Team Members play a key role in supporting our community by providing consistent and reliable food service in a safe, welcoming place. The role assists with preparing and serving beverages and food. An ideal role for those who enjoy food service in a team environment. Key responsibilities • Meal preparation and service: Café Team Members prepare beverages and food and provide service to customers. • Set up and clean up: With a keen eye for neatness and hygiene, Team Members assist with initial set up, clearing of tables, pack up, wash up and waste disposal. • Manage stocks and storage: Applying high regard for food safety standards, Team Members assist with ensuring food stocks are replenished and within use by dates, and all food items are stored and labelled correctly. Qualifications and skills (desired/required) • Experience in food preparation, handling and service • Relevant food handling qualifications as required by local council authorities Capabilities and personal attributes Manage Self: Shows personal motivation and commitment to completing work activities effectively; maintains own motivation when tasks become difficult; regulates own behaviour and responds appropriately in all circumstances.
