Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our Board of Trustees as the Education Lead. This important role involves providing strategic oversight and leadership for Paiwand’s education projects, ensuring they meet the needs of vulnerable children and young people in our communities.
As a Trustee, you will contribute to Paiwand’s governance, support the organisation’s mission, and champion the advancement of education among refugee and migrant populations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance on Paiwand’s education programmes.
  • Monitor and support the delivery and impact of education projects.
  • Advocate for the educational needs of refugees and migrants within the board and externally.
  • Assist in fundraising efforts and partnership building related to education.
  • Attend quarterly board meetings and contribute to governance and decision-making.
  • Participate in annual strategy days and key charity events such as AGMs.
  • Support the organisation’s compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
