Description
Overview Making the decision to access support can feel overwhelming for many young adults, especially those aged 18 to 25 who may be facing a mix of personal, social, and lifestyle challenges. You can make a real difference. As a Young Adults Volunteer Supporter with Change Grow Live, you’ll work alongside the team to support young people in ways that feel safe, comfortable, and accessible to them. This often includes outreach, meeting young adults in places where they feel at ease, whether that’s a community space, café, or other agreed location. You’ll help them engage with their treatment, build confidence, and take positive steps towards the goals they want to achieve. Responsibilities With this role you’ll be working as part of the Young Adults team. The team supports people aged 18 to 25 who may be experiencing challenges with their substance use, wellbeing, routines, relationships, or other areas of their life. No two days are the same. We meet every young adult as an individual, whether that’s in our service or out in the community as part of our outreach offer. Being flexible, curious and a good listener is key, especially when meeting young people in spaces where they feel most comfortable. We will support you in this volunteering role by making sure you receive regular supervision and always have someone on site or in the team you can approach for day-to-day guidance. In return for the time you give, you’ll receive valuable training, develop new skills, and gain experience that can support your personal and professional growth. Most importantly, you’ll be making a real difference. This is what one of our volunteers had to say: “Seeing people move forward in their journey and getting their spark back is so rewarding.” Our values are to be compassionate, open and bold. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you - so click apply!
