Description
Overview: This role is to ensure optimal planning and execution of the voyage scheduling with the objective of maximizing profits & ensuring safety and ensure optimal voyage planning of coastal schedules to optimize trade-off between cost and requirement Job Description Ensure Optimal Voyage Operation Overall responsible for voyage cost related to schedule (port cost, speed & bunker etc…) Coordinate port rotation set by Capacity Management and provide feedback / suggest improvements Liaise with other trade units to minimize risks of berth congestion Be the main point of contact and first escalation point to vessel master for the duration of the voyage Arrange required supplying in accordance with schedule, policy & regulation (e.g. bunkering, FSMC inspection, canal transit & etc.) Closely monitor weather condition in coast & ocean related to safety vessel operation & schedule and update vessel schedule & port rotation if changed Identify policy, regulation in related port & terminal which may affect voyage operation and share it with concerned parties Coordinate optimal voyage operation, maximizing cost saving & minimizing delay for voyage operating in Trade A.O.A. across relevant locations Job Requirements Excellent communication skills in English / Korean, both verbal and written Agility to respond to changes & challenges Understanding of teamwork importance Overall knowledge of shipping business and supply chain management IT system proficient ABOUT US Wallenius Wilhelmsen is an iconic shipping and logistics company with premium end-to-end supply chain management.
