VP, AI ENGINEERING

At Anaplan, we’ve reinvented how companies see, plan, and run their businesses. Our platform gives customers the ability to uncover new insights, connect strategy to execution, and operate in ways they never thought possible. The AI Engineering team plays a central role in this innovation — defining and driving our AI strategy across the platform. This role reports directly into senior leadership and will lead a global engineering team tasked with solving complex, high-impact problems at enterprise scale.
This isn’t a theoretical leadership opportunity. Anaplan is a scaled SaaS company with over $1B in actual ARR — not just a unicorn with a $1B valuation. If you’re excited by servant leadership, complex systems, and leading with both empathy and precision, this may be the challenge you’ve been looking for.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience developing engineering and product teams within a global enterprise. - Successfully managed engineering teams across nearly every continent.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership — from CTOs to peers across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Support, and Customer Success.

  • Skilled at prioritizing work to maximize impact — with a focus on doing more with less.
  • Proven ability to balance short-term fixes with long-term system health — addressing technical debt proactively.
  • Strong mathematical and systems background — particularly with complex, in-memory array models that recalculate trillions of cells in sub-seconds.
  • Deep experience with performance engineering — raising the bar on what “good enough” means.
  • A track record of teams and peers who speak to your leadership and impact with pride.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Agile mindset with a deep belief in the 12 principles of Agile.
  • Servant leadership style centred on team empowerment and accountability.
  • Data-driven approach to leadership — making decisions based on measurement and facts.
  • A natural ability to maintain positivity under pressure and turn challenges into opportunities.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging
Build your career in a place that thrives on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. We believe in a hiring and working environment where all people are respected and valued, regardless of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other aspect which makes people unique. We hire you for who you are, and we want you to bring your authentic self to work every day!
We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, perform essential job functions, and receive equitable benefits and all privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
