This is done through strategic focus on training and improving staff capability, empowerment, productivity, teamwork, innovation & technology, managing operational risks & strongly collaborating with our business partners in delivering excellent RED service to our customers Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned business management leader to drive financial governance, strategic performance management, and executive-level storytelling. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will provide forward-looking insights, challenge assumptions, and translate complex data into clear narratives to support decisions at ExCo and Group COO forums. Responsibilities Performance & volume analytics Analyse volume movements across products, isolate key drivers and quantify their contribution. Identify anomalies, emerging risks, and data quality issues; recommend corrective actions and ensure timely escalation where thresholds are breached. Cost, productivity & efficiency management Establish and monitor the relationship between IBGO expenses and volume/complexity drivers; develop unit cost views and productivity baselines. Partner Finance and functional owners to track run-rate, forecast outcomes, and explain variances (price, volume, mix, one-offs). Executive reporting, forums & governance Own the development of ExCo/Group COO-level decks, strategic reviews, and business updates—ensuring messaging is crisp, fact-based, and decision-oriented. Drive action tracking from executive forums—capturing decisions, translating them into clear follow-ups, and ensuring closure across stakeholders. Translate complex financial and operational data into compelling storylines for senior leadership—tailoring depth and framing for different audiences. Delivery excellence Ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness of all performance materials, analysis, and executive communications; enforce version control and narrative coherence. Continuously improve reporting processes and templates to reduce manual effort, strengthen controls, and sharpen insights to support faster, better decisions. Operate with high ownership and pace—anticipating asks, managing tight timelines, and maintaining attention to detail under pressure. Requirements 10 years of experience in business management, strategy, finance, transformation, and/or COO Office roles within a complex, matrixed organisation (banking/financial services preferred). Demonstrated track record in performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, with the ability to link financial outcomes to operational drivers. Proven experience supporting senior leadership and ExCo-level forums, including preparing decision papers and executive-ready decks. Experience leading cross-functional stakeholders without direct authority; ability to influence outcomes through data, framing, and governance. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/CPA/CFA or equivalent professional qualification is an advantage.
