This role is for one of the Weekday's clients Salary range: Rs 4000000 (ie INR 40 LPA) Min Experience: 20 years Location: Mumbai JobType: full-time As the Vice President – Business Development, you will play a strategic leadership role in driving large-scale business growth across procurement aggregation and structured financing solutions. You will be responsible for building and expanding partnerships with banks, NBFCs, and enterprise ecosystems, while enabling innovative channel financing and vendor financing models. This role demands deep domain expertise, strong market influence, and the ability to translate complex financial solutions into scalable business opportunities, particularly within the MSME financing landscape. You will act as a growth architect, shaping long-term business strategies, opening new revenue channels, and strengthening the organization’s presence across financial institutions and enterprise networks. Working closely with senior leadership, product teams, and external stakeholders, you will ensure sustainable growth, market leadership, and strong partner relationships. Key Responsibilities • Define and execute business development strategies focused on procurement aggregation, channel financing, vendor financing, and MSME-focused lending solutions • Build and manage strategic alliances with banks, NBFCs, fintech partners, and large enterprise clients • Drive end-to-end partnership lifecycle including opportunity identification, negotiations, onboarding, and scaling • Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative financing structures aligned with evolving industry needs • Lead large-ticket enterprise discussions and engage senior stakeholders across financial institutions • Collaborate with internal product, risk, and operations teams to design scalable financing programs • Establish and grow a robust pipeline of institutional and enterprise partnerships • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes to refine go-to-market strategies • Own revenue targets and ensure consistent growth through strategic deals and partnerships • Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and leadership roundtables What Makes You a Great Fit • Over 20 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic roles within banking, NBFCs, fintech, or financial services • Strong domain expertise in procurement aggregation, channel financing, vendor financing, and MSME lending ecosystems • Proven track record of building and scaling partnerships with banks, NBFCs, and enterprise clients • Deep understanding of credit products, supply chain finance, and structured financing models • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills at CXO and board levels • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability and strong commercial acumen • Ability to navigate complex financial ecosystems and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders • Strong leadership presence with the ability to mentor teams and influence cross-functional alignment • High ownership mindset with the ability to drive long-term business vision and execution • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, evolving environments with high accountability
