In Group Operations, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Business Management leader (VP level) to anchor the COO office, driving financial governance, strategic performance management, and executive-level storytelling. This role acts as the central integrator across strategy, finance, and operations, ensuring the unit delivers against its scorecard, budget commitments, and transformation priorities. Key Responsibilities 1. Financials & Budget Governance • Own end-to-end financial planning, tracking, and governance for Ops COO unoit (budget, forecasts, variance analysis) • Drive cost optimisation and productivity tracking for Group Ops. • Partner closely with Finance to ensure accuracy, transparency, and zero surprises • Translate financials into clear executive narratives and actionable insights 2. Scorecard & Performance Management • Lead the design and execution of scorecard aligned to Group COO strategy • Drive KPI setting, tracking, and performance cadence (monthly/quarterly reviews) • Ensure KPIs are outcome-driven, measurable, and aligned across stakeholders • Identify performance gaps and proactively drive interventions and course correction 3. Strategic Packs & Executive Storytelling • Own development of ExCo-level decks, strategic reviews, and business updates • Craft concise, insight-led narratives linking performance, risks, and opportunities • Translate complex data into clear, compelling storylines for senior leadership • Ensure consistency, quality, and timeliness of all materials 4. Strategic Forums & Governance • Orchestrate key management forums (e.g. ExCo, business reviews, thematic reviews and strategy sessions) • Ensure forums are decision-focused, structured, and outcome-driven • Drive alignment across stakeholders and follow-through on actions 5.
