JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President, COO Care Delivery is accountable for the performance of a large complex regional delivery system and is an accountable leader for the market ancillary, hospital, utilization management and care without delay services. Delivery system scope includes hospital operations, clinical decision support units, advanced urgent care, regional laboratory and imaging operations, utilization management and care without delay functions including regional case managers, home health, and hospice services in settings that can operate 24/7. The Vice President COO, Care Delivery supports strategic hospital partnerships in support of care delivery that enable Kaiser Permanente to deliver an integrated health experience. This includes oversight of acute and post-acute continuum of services and complex case management. The individual oversees personnel, facilities, patient care experience, capital projects, P&L, access, quality and service. Working in full partnership with WPMG, and the KP Medical Foundation, is accountable for the quality and cost performance of the hospital, ancillary services and care without delay, and ultimately the improvement of member health and achievement of strategic goals. The individual has responsibility for care delivery operations including:
The Vice President, COO, Care Delivery works closely with WPMG, KP Foundation, and Labor to establish mutual performance expectations based on leading local competitive and national benchmarks and efficiency improvements. These market-leading performance expectations will drive strategy and requirements of operational areas including medical office operations, external provider affiliations and relations, quality and service initiatives and provider contracting. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibilities (Kaiser Permanente-s Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and Kaiser Permanente-s policies and procedures.
