EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • 8-12 years of banking experience, with a strong background in deposit sales, Treasury Management, or retail banking is required.
  • 3+ years of leadership/supervisory experience in a results-driven sales/deposit growth environment is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field is required.
  • Prior success leading sales teams and driving measurable revenue or deposit growth is required.
  • Experience in community or regional banking is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to be covered under the Bank’s auto policy is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive deposit growth and client engagement.
  • Strong understanding of Treasury Management solutions and bank product offerings.
  • Skilled in cross-selling and client needs analysis.
  • Experience in developing and leading sales training and coaching programs.
  • Marketing acumen, especially in developing campaigns that promote deposit products.
  • High emotional intelligence with strong communication, persuasion, and team-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify target markets, design calling strategies, and implement successful onboarding experiences.
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams toward common goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools, pipeline tracking systems, and performance dashboards.

Responsibilities

Sales StrategyDeposit Growth

  • Develop and execute the bank’s deposit growth strategy across Retail, Commercial, Non-Profit, Public Funds, and niche markets.
  • Identify and pursue deposit-rich industries and clients using creative, proactive prospecting strategies.
  • Drive cross-sell performance across all banking products, including Treasury Management, online banking, merchant services, and business accounts.
  • Lead initiatives to market and promote the bank’s deposit offerings to new and existing clients.
  • Implement a deposit pipeline management system and track performance metrics across teams.

Team LeadershipDevelopment

  • Direct and coach a team of retail leaders, business development officers, and Treasury Management sales professionals.
  • Provide training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and client relationship skills.
  • Foster a results-driven, customer-first culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Lead deposit growth meetings and oversee execution of deposit-focused incentive programs.

Client AcquisitionRelationship Management

  • Serve as a key relationship leader for top-tier clients, with an emphasis on understanding their deposit and Treasury Management needs.
  • Guide team members in building lasting, value-based relationships with business and retail clients.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive onboarding experience for new deposit clients.

Treasury ManagementCross-Departmental Collaboration

  • Oversee Treasury Management strategy and integration within the sales function.
  • Collaborate with product, credit, operations, and marketing teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of business banking products and credit processes to effectively lead client conversations and coach team members.

Market LeadershipBrand Visibility

  • Represent the bank in the community, at industry events, and through targeted business development efforts.
  • Champion innovative thinking and continuous improvement in how the bank markets and delivers its deposit solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive positioning, and customer expectations to inform strategic decisions.
