Description:

Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills as part of the management team. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.

  • Establish short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
  • Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
  • Hire and train employees, especially finance staff, and manage retention
  • Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
  • Analyze and monitor forecasting and budgeting models
  • Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
  • Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reports
  • Take ownership of insurance and risk management
  • Propose benchmarks for analyzing financial and operating performance
  • Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
  • Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
  • Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
  • Comply with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements
  • 10+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • CPA required with MBA (definite asset)
  • Experience with multiple accounting and financial reporting systems
  • Very detail oriented and expert analytical thinking skills
  • Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
