Description

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting a Finance Director to support our Hospitality client on a 2+ month on-site engagement based in the West Los Angeles area. The Finance Director will report directly to the CFO and will primarily provide support in accounting and financial reporting activities (including month end close) for 3 properties.

Responsibilities
  • Manage financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities for three assigned properties, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Supervise personnel, providing coaching, scheduling, and fostering growth and skill development within the finance team.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including timekeeping, payroll processing, and labor management.
  • Lead month-end closing processes, including preparation and review of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, bank reconciliations, and cash flow projections.
  • Support monthly forecasting efforts and other financial processes for three assigned properties.
  • Manage cash flow operations, oversee banking functions, and ensure proper execution of wire transfers and fund allocations.
  • Monitor and maintain records for contracts, licenses, permits, and certificates of insurance, ensuring timely renewals and updates.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to employees, fostering accountability and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Proven experience in the hospitality industry, with an understanding of financial operations and management is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in month-end closing processes and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific systems such as Opera, Silverware, Sun Systems, Cognos, Unit 4, and ADP payroll platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of cash flow forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills to effectively guide and develop a finance team.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage contracts, permits, and compliance documentation.
