The base salary range for this position in Boston is $250,000 to $300,000, along with annual bonus eligibility. Total compensation for a candidate is determined by their relevant skills, location, and experience. Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 15 years’ experience leading and managing a high performing engineering teams
- Proven experience defining and executing enterprise-level AI strategies, ideally within regulated industries such as insurance or financial services
- General familiarity with underwriting, claims, actuarial models, and regulatory frameworks specific to the property and casualty insurance industry
- Strong foundation in AI, Machine Learning, and GenAI technologies, including model development, Large Language Models, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Experience collaborating with enterprise and business architecture teams to ensure scalable, secure, and integrated AI solutions
- Knowledge of data privacy laws (e.g., GLBA, CCPA), model transparency, and ethical AI practices relevant to insurance
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business leaders, technology functions, compliance, and data teams to drive AI adoption and innovation
- Experience managing AI vendors, open-source tools, and external partnerships to accelerate capability development
- Ability to lead organizational change, upskill teams, and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning
- Strong skills in identifying, prioritizing, and quantifying the value of AI use cases aligned with business objectives.
