Responsibilities

YOUR NEW ROLE

The VP Enterprise Markets is a senior member of the Enterprise segment leadership team and reports directly to the EVP Enterprise Markets. The role ensures that the strategic vision for the Enterprise markets at Digital Science is translated into actionable plans and delivered by the Segment’s cross-functional teams.
The role serves as the cornerstone of the Enterprise segment’s growth initiatives and requires a detailed understanding of the competitive landscape, customer needs and the unique value propositions of Digital Science products and services.
The VP Enterprise Markets works closely with the segment’s cross-functional teams - including Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Revenue Operations and Customer Experience - to ensure all teams remain aligned and focused on delivering the agreed goals and objectives of the Enterprise Segment. By setting clear milestones, tracking progress and driving accountability, the VP Enterprise Markets plays a pivotal role in securing both short and long-term success for Digital Science within the Enterprise markets.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Interpret KPIs, targets, and historical performance to support strategic decisions
  • Analyse internal and external data to identify market opportunities
  • Create visual reports that inform and influence stakeholders

Strategic Planning (20%)

  • Define and refine business hypotheses across Enterprise segment strategies
  • Conduct market research to identify new commercial opportunities
  • Support the EVP in developing and communicating strategic vision
  • Collaborate on resource planning and partnership development

Strategy Execution (30%)

  • Ensure cross-functional alignment on strategic initiatives
  • Monitor implementation of Sales and Marketing plans
  • Support go-to-market strategy and pricing for Enterprise products
  • Review performance, adoption data, and customer feedback
  • Prepare progress reports and act as a decision-maker where required

Financial Forecasting & Budgeting (20%)

  • Assist with segment revenue and cost forecasting
  • Collaborate with Finance partners to ensure accuracy in reporting
  • Support business case development and cost/resource allocation
  • Help establish and lead the Enterprise Segment Management Team
  • Ensure alignment across Segment and EVP leadership and build strong internal relationships
  • Deeply understand Digital Science’s Enterprise solutions
  • Contribute strategic input into product launches and market positioning
  • Shape business cases to improve offerings based on feedback and uptake

Leadership Support

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the EVP - Enterprise Markets
  • Prepare leadership materials and act as a senior contact for Enterprise teams and clients
  • Ensure alignment across senior leadership and functional teams

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Domain expertise in Enterprise markets: Experience and understanding of Enterprise markets (life sciences, automotive, energy, “Big Tech” desirable but not essential).
  • Data interpretation and storytelling: Ability to extract insights from complex data and present them in a way that influences strategic decisions.
  • Business performance analysis: Skilled in evaluating KPIs, financial performance and customer metrics to guide improvements.
  • Market research & opportunity analysis: Experience with competitor analysis, market sizing and trend evaluation.
  • Financial modeling & forecasting: Comfortable building revenue and cost forecasts, and supporting business case development.
  • Strategic hypothesis development: Ability to frame and refine strategic hypotheses based on changing market and performance data.
  • Commercial acumen: Deep understanding of pricing, business models, and value propositions within B2B/Enterprise contexts.
  • Innovation & opportunity development: Proven track record in identifying and shaping new initiatives, partnerships, or revenue opportunities.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Skilled in working with other teams to align on priorities and drive initiatives forward.
  • Program and project oversight: Experience in managing execution across multiple initiatives, tracking progress and resolving issues.
  • Go-to-market planning: Ability to help shape and oversee GTM strategies, revenue models and commercial rollout plans.
  • Stakeholder management: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without authority across senior and cross-functional teams.
  • Executive-level communication: Can prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and board-ready materials with clarity and impact.
  • Data visualisation: Ability to create compelling dashboards and visuals that support decision-making.
  • Trusted advisor: Capable of acting as a close partner and advisor to senior leaders, with sound judgment and high integrity.
  • Segment-level governance: Experience participating in or leading governance processes to ensure aligned decision-making across functions.
  • Customer-centric mindset: Deep empathy for end-users and Enterprise customers, translating feedback into strategic improvements.
  • Excel/Google Sheets: Advanced proficiency for data modeling and forecasting.
  • Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker): For reporting and dashboarding.
  • Presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides): Ability to create clear and compelling strategy documents and presentations.
