Description

Job Description: This role focuses on driving sales and bringing offshore investments into India. The Salesperson will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with clients interested in investing in the Indian market. They will manage client relationships, understand their investment goals, and provide tailored solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the Indian investment landscape, strong sales acumen, and excellent client management skills.* New client and business acquisition for the business, focusing on India market sales but also into global window markets.* Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the securities industry.
Identify and target potential clients through cold calling, industry events, engagement with DBS’ relationship managers, and other stakeholders* Work closely with the internal teams including implementation managers, relationship managers, product teams, operations and senior management to develop and implement sales strategies* Take lead and project manage any Request for Information (RF) and/or Request for Proposals (RFPs)* Keep abreast of latest industry trends, market behaviours, competitive insights to help shape sales strategies. Monitor and analyze client’s usage of our product(s).* Meet and exceed sales targets as assigned by the company. Track all sales activities, pipelines and status reports regularly, to keep management updated on progress.* Identify and cross sell banking services where opportunities arise* Understand and adhere to all compliance standards, regulations and laws applicable to the securities industry.Key performance indicator* Meet budgeted sales growth for his/her portfolio* Deliver on new client and business acquisition targets* Understand the bank’s risk management culture and ensure 100% compliance* Ability to work under pressure and think out of the box* Independent and strive for challenges.* Strong team player and high aptitude of interpersonal skills to work with the wider teamRequirements: * Proven sales experience, preferably in the securities industry especially in the India market* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to follow through on client contracts* Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.* Self motivated and self directed, able to work without supervision* In-depth understanding of the financial industry and securities services -e
