Description The Financial Reporting Officer assists with the preparation of SEC reporting, monthly management reporting and other financial information included in periodic earnings releases and any other projects. The Financial Reporting Officer is responsible for timely accurate filing of the Bank’s Form 10-Q and Form 10-K and assists with the preparation of other SEC reporting, information included in periodic earnings releases, monthly management reporting, select ledger reconciliations and other projects as needed. Assist with preparation and filing of timely SEC quarterly and annual reports, including preparation of financial statements, MD&A and various footnote disclosures. Work on XBRL reporting (eXtensible Business Reporting Language), update taxonomies. Assist with coordination and support of external auditors. Preparation of detailed analysis for various reporting requirements. Assist with monthly close and preparation of board materials. Participate with ongoing compliance of internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404). Assist with process improvement efforts by helping to identify, develop and implement enhancements. Complete special projects as required. All employees are responsible for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and in some roles, OFAC regulations. This includes activities conducted by customers, fellow employees, board members, and vendors Requirements Strong verbal, written communication, problem-solving and organizational skills Strong attention to details with strong analytical, quantitative and computer skills. Process improvement driven and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. This is a very “hands-on" set of responsibilities, requiring attention to detail, precision in reporting current and prior period information and intermediate skill sets in both excel and word. Experience Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in finance, business, economics or accounting Minimum of 3 years of loan underwriting experience 2-3 years’ experience in a mix of public accounting and private industry, with financial services exposure, CPA preferred. The ideal candidate would have substantial, recent responsibility for filing Forms 10-Q and 10-K for a Banking organization with a few hundred million in assets up to $3 billion in size, with 5-10 years overall accounting experience. Auditing, accounting and financial reporting experience preferred. SEC reporting experience a plus.
