OpenX is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Global Solutions & Exchange Optimization to lead our technical and customer-facing teams that support buyers, publishers, DSPs, and data partners worldwide. This newly created role will oversee four core functions: Solutions, Customer Success Engineering, Exchange Optimization, and Deal Operations. Together, these teams ensure our customers are supported at every level, from ideation and integration through optimization and deal execution, while driving peak performance across the OpenX exchange.
As a senior leader within the organization, the Vice President will be responsible for defining the strategy, vision, and direction of this global team. The ideal candidate will be both a player and coach: a contributor who can roll up their sleeves on complex customer challenges while also serving as a critical member of the OpenX leadership team. They will partner closely with commercial leaders, product, and engineering to deliver measurable value to customers, accelerate innovation, and strengthen OpenX’s position in the programmatic ecosystem.
The Vice President will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of experience in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or related fields, with at least 5 years leading technical or customer-facing teams.
  • Deep technical knowledge of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs, DSPs, deal mechanics, integrations, and exchange optimization.
  • Proven ability to build and scale high-performing teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience working with both buy-side and sell-side partners in programmatic marketplaces.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience engaging with senior executives, panels, or industry forums.
  • High energy, entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience building or leading new functional teams in high-growth environments.
  • Familiarity with identity, curation, and data-driven solutions.
  • Knowledge of global programmatic markets and regional exchange dynamics.
  • Direct experience working with buy-side partners on deal design and optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the global strategy for the Solutions, Customer Success Engineering, Exchange Optimization, and Deal Operations teams.
  • Build and lead a high-performing organization that supports global expansion, customer growth, technical excellence, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to ensure alignment of solutions and services with customer needs and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead the Solutions team in collaborating with buy-side OpenXSelect partners to design, test, and launch new offerings that deliver differentiated value.
  • Oversee Customer Success Engineering to ensure seamless integrations, technical health monitoring, and ongoing performance across Publisher and DSP partners.
  • Scale and refine Exchange Optimization practices that drive global consistency, regional customization, and peak marketplace performance.
  • Guide Deal Operations in designing, executing, and optimizing complex deals for buyers across OpenXSelect.
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to provide customer and market insights that inform roadmap priorities and competitive differentiation.
  • Serve as a senior market-facing representative of OpenX, engaging with customers and industry stakeholders to shape strategy and position, attend industry events and speak on behalf of OpenX.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation that supports both customer success and company growth.
