Description
Overview Leads and oversees effective operations, financial reporting, pricing, and business development for the Division. Ensures accountability for creating a profitable business model focused on international forwarding activities for military, government, corporate and private customers. Develops and implements growth strategies, policy implementation and adherence while assuring best business practice amongst the team and adherence to the sequential order of international trade operations. Accountable for increasing international relocation revenue and profits through each client/customer engagement, active participation in industry groups, and added revenue opportunities. Partners with network and supply chain affiliates to foster and promote our brand and service offerings. Responsibilities Develops International relocation strategic sales plan to increase the growth and profitability of the division. Advice on export costs, including freight costs, port expenses, consular fees, special documentation, insurance, and merchandise costs. Advising and contracting insurance for transportation of goods on behalf of the company and/client, assistance in the event of an incident or accident. Proper management of Transport and Trade documents to ensure protection of parties. Review and update contracts for service and/or SOW requirements. Develops relationships to support and develop business opportunities. Primary point of contact for key customers, accompanied by a thorough understanding of the customer’s business. Implements account strategy, identifying services and/or solutions to meet customer needs. Use of e-commerce, varied technologies, and satellite systems that allow real-time tracking of transport goods. Advise on legislation affecting international trade, political and social situations (strikes) as well as other factors that may affect the movement of goods. Defines team structure, roles/responsibilities, and establishes strategic objectives for the team and the growth of the international organization structure as necessary. Coaches, develops, and demonstrates role-model behavior for international staff to ensure high quality customer service. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Five+ years of related industry experience – specifically door-to-door international logistics. Proven track record of excellence with internal and external customer relationships. Demonstrated mix of sales, business, client management and marketing to prospects. Proven record of developing an international agent network. Exemplary communication, presentation, negotiation skills and impeccable attention to detail. Excellent talent management skills to develop, motivate, organize, and empower employees. Available to travel globally. Proficient navigating the challenges within international business (e.g., cultural awareness, people traits, international business practices, customs protocols, safety directives, etc.).
